BLOG EXHIBITION DATE 2020
Sabaidee, Grade 1!
At the beginning of the year, we discuss how groups people can make an artwork together, introducing the idea that Many hands make light work. After exploring the glassworks artist, Dale Chilhuly ( chihuly.com ), we decided to make a collaborative work of art. Being inspired by the light and color of glass, we chose a close cousin to work with...PLASTIC! We reused water bottles, chose a the color theme of blues and greens to represent the earth, and went about making a huge sculpture for our One World Day celebration. It was so lovely, that one family even took it home after the day. Well done, children!! :0)Ms Angie

Angie AndreasWith a career spanning 25 years, I have worked alongside children from infancy to 9th grade in a generalist classroom setting. To my delight and surprise, an opportunity arose for me to become an art teacher in 2015. My first year was a learning experience and I expect that will be the case with all the years to follow.
