Angie Andreas

In my life, I have spent more time involved in teaching and learning than anything else. My experience started as a five-year-old in the southern United States. Since then I have embraced this process of understanding the world in three countries and through the perspectives of several different curricular frameworks. Working with the Primary Years Program in an IB World School gave me the chance to delve into Visual Arts through central ideas, lines of inquiry and conceptual understandings.

I come from the Somboon Village in Northern Laos, in the Phoukhoun District. After I finished my degree in Teaching English, I had an opportunity to work in a village dedicated to preserving and sharing the many traditional arts and crafts throughout Laos. At that time, I met the Principal from VIS and was offered a position at the school. I have worked with the teachers and students at VIS for three years now.
