BLOG EXHIBITION DATE 2021
Sabaidee, Grade 1! During your first unit of inquiry, you used Visual Arts to understand the idea of perspective. To illustrate the point, you imagined yourself inside a home looking out of a window, and then outside of a home, looking inside. This gave you an opportunity to see how when you change your point of view, what you see changes along with it. We had lots of fun changing places with each other in the art room to see what someone else would see from across the circle. After this learning experience, you went into your art book and sketched an outside scene and an inside scene from your imagination or from your real life. Then next step of your project was to draw those images in pencil on a two-sided board: one image on each side. After that you traced the lines in permanent marker and then painted the sides one at a time. When painting the boards you learned about the background and the foreground of a picture. This helped you to understand the painting process and determine what should be painted first. Check out your artwork in the gallery. So impressed with your progress!!! :0)Ms A

Angie AndreasWith a career spanning 25 years, I have worked alongside children from infancy to 9th grade in a generalist classroom setting. To my delight and surprise, an opportunity arose for me to become an art teacher in 2015. My first year was a learning experience and I expect that will be the case with all the years to follow.
