BLOG EXHIBITION DATE 2021
Hello Preps!
The entire Primary school has been learning alongside you. Leonardo da Vinci was such a versatile artist and innovator. His work and studies span the entirety of our Program of Inquiry. He was an inventor and explorer, a scientist, painter and sculptor. Enjoy! :0)Ms Angie As stated in Biography.com: Born on April 15, 1452, in Vinci, Italy, Leonardo da Vinci was the epitome of a “Renaissance man.” Possessor of a curious mind and keen intellect, da Vinci studied the laws of science and nature, which greatly informed his work as a painter, sculptor, architect, inventor, military engineer and draftsman. His ideas and body of work—which includes "Virgin of the Rocks," "The Last Supper" and "Mona Lisa"—have influenced countless artists and made da Vinci a leading light of the Italian Renaissance. Follow this link to the full bio and a short video. http://www.biography.com/people/leonardo-da-vinci-40396 As a reflection of our inquiry, the whole primary school came together to create a beautiful paper mosaic to honor his influence and accomplishments. I was impressed with your abilities to capture yourselves in a self-portrait. Check out your artwork in the Gallery! :0)Ms A

Angie AndreasWith a career spanning 25 years, I have worked alongside children from infancy to 9th grade in a generalist classroom setting. To my delight and surprise, an opportunity arose for me to become an art teacher in 2015. My first year was a learning experience and I expect that will be the case with all the years to follow.
