Welcome to Grade 3!!!
I am so excited to see where your creativity will take us! Your first project for the year was all about messages and how we can communicate ideas to people. As a provocation, we played a song called Message in a Bottle by The Police. This song not only inspired you, it guided the next few weeks of our learning. Being that you are all Grade 3s now, you have much more freedom to express yourselves and to choose what kind of artwork you would like to do. I was impressed with the variety of thoughtful conversations and ideas for action that were bubbling up throughout our lessons. You chose to communicate your thinking through sculptures, pottery, fabrics and language. The projects were varied and interesting while demonstrating your understanding of how messages move humans to think and act differently. Check out the art here! Super fun! :0)Ms Angie

Angie AndreasWith a career spanning 25 years, I have worked alongside children from infancy to 9th grade in a generalist classroom setting. To my delight and surprise, an opportunity arose for me to become an art teacher in 2015. My first year was a learning experience and I expect that will be the case with all the years to follow.
