BLOG EXHIBITION DATE 2019
Hey, Grade 2!
We connected to your homeroom inquiry for this project about the environment. The concept of environment was a big topic of conversation. We discussed ownership, respect, healthfulness and animals when considering how humans interact with a variety of environments. As a result of our thinking, we came up with a plan to create a thought-provoking display of a pond that had been treated respectfully by human beings bisected by a pond that was covered in litter and filled with pollution. We asked our community to comment on this display and realized that a lot of people believed that we should not put rubbish and pollution into places where animals live. In the final phase of this artistic endeavor, you created a pristine pond to demonstrate the beauty and balance that exists in nature. Check out the art here! Way to go, Grade 2! :0)Ms Angie

Angie AndreasWith a career spanning 25 years, I have worked alongside children from infancy to 9th grade in a generalist classroom setting. To my delight and surprise, an opportunity arose for me to become an art teacher in 2015. My first year was a learning experience and I expect that will be the case with all the years to follow.
