BLOG EXHIBITION DATE 2017
Hey Grade 4!
As part of our Primary-wide study of the artist, Leonardo Da Vinci, you all inquired into his many inventions. We looked at Da Vinci as an innovator and explored and became inspired by his unique perspective and skills of observation. Da Vinci was taken by the way that animal and plant life could have mastery over the elements and how the idea of 'work' could be lessened through the manipulation of matter. http://www.da-vinci-inventions.com/ He used the turtle as a model for the tank and shells as the model for staircases. He was observant and keen to create so many different, useful inventions that actually changed history over time. You all had time to research his inventions and to create an artwork that was inspired by his thinking. Your imaginations and the connections you made throughout the unit were impressive. I enjoyed every minute of it! Check out the art here! :0)Ms Angie

Angie AndreasWith a career spanning 25 years, I have worked alongside children from infancy to 9th grade in a generalist classroom setting. To my delight and surprise, an opportunity arose for me to become an art teacher in 2015. My first year was a learning experience and I expect that will be the case with all the years to follow.
