BLOG EXHIBITION DATE 2017
Dear Grade 5,
Ms Missy, our Librarian, asked if we could make a reversible sign for 'Recommended Reads' and 'New Books' for one of the Library displays. Your keenness to help was impressive! We explored a variety of fonts and designed several prototypes for how the signs could look. There were so many ideas floating around that we found it was difficult to finalize a design. Instead of bringing many letter types together to make the signs, we went with one student's idea to have rainbow letters and then transformed that idea into the final signs which can be seen in the gallery. In the end, Ms Missy and the Library team happily welcomed the new signage to the space. Check out the art here! Lovely work, Grade 5! :0) Ms Angie

Angie AndreasWith a career spanning 25 years, I have worked alongside children from infancy to 9th grade in a generalist classroom setting. To my delight and surprise, an opportunity arose for me to become an art teacher in 2015. My first year was a learning experience and I expect that will be the case with all the years to follow.
