.Dear All,
I hope this message finds you healthy, happy, and creating! This is an open invitation to all students, parents, and staff. Please send me your artwork and I will post it on our website in The Volunteer Art Gallery! My email address is [email protected]. Once submitted, I will upload photos to this page. Students can upload their photos to their Seesaw accounts and tag the VA folder. Here's hoping we have lots of participation and can share our creativity with each other in a positive and connected way. With kind regards, Ms Angie

Hello, Students!
Here is a link to a short viewing. It covers the basics of Artist Statements. The great thing about the video is that you can pause it and make notes. When writing your reflection, you can video yourself, do a voice recording, create speech to text (please make sure to reread and edit), or type your statement. Please upload these to Seesaw along with photographic evidence of your work taken on your grade levels color background. Dear Students,
Click here to find a Who's Who of artists from around the world and throughout history. There are sooooo many types of creating that Visual Artists do to share a message with their audiences ... painting, drawing, printmaking, sculpture, ceramics, photography, video, filmmaking, design, crafts, weaving, sewing, collage, and even architecture. All of these can be placed within two categories of Visual Arts: 2-dimensional and 3-dimensional....aka 2D and 3D! You can check out over 40 artists with Mati and Dada by going to this youtube channel. When you find an artist that inspires you or that shares your passion for a specific type of Visual Art, you can write about your connection in your Artist Statement. :0)Ms Angie Dear Artists,
Here is a template you may want to use as you begin writing your plans. This is not a required format. You can share more if you like! Simply copy the paragraph below and add you personal details. After that, you can post this to your Seesaw Portfolio along with a photo of your plan from your Arts Book. ------ For my Visual Arts project or VAP, I plan on creating (state your project’s name or what it is). I will work (independently, with a partner, in a group). I will use (state your materials here). It will be (state the size in cm). I will ask (who will you consult for feedforward advice?) to see if my message is being communicated. I think it will take (amount of time). I will find connections to the past by researching other artists who create (artworks like mine) and use them as inspirations to help me write an artist statement when I finish my VAP. ------ Hope this helps to get you started on your independent creations!!! :0)Ms Angie |
