Pillars of Principles

A spotlight on Arts and Action:

​Using the VIS Co-Curricular Program as a platform, volunteer artists in Grades 4 and 5 signed up to assist with artistic projects in the community. The school librarian, Mr William, heard about their willingness to share their creativity and booked them in for a project. The objective: Beautify the upper-level of the Library! The Arts in Action team stepped up and embraced the challenge. Through a lengthy process, students grappled, dialogued, and discussed what would be the best designs. In the end, they were guided by the VIS Learning Principles ...seven principles, seven pillars. Through the elements of art, these students were able to communicate ideas and, as a result, keep these principles ever-present at the forefront of the learning journey here at VIS.
