Dear Grade 1,
Some of you were asking about how to make certain colors with paints, so we decided to do a bit of experimenting to figure this out. We used old markers that were not working so well and also tissue paper that had a bit of transparency. These experiments gave us some new vocabulary words to use: PRIMARY COLORS and SECONDARY COLORS. Primary colors are red, yellow, and blue. Secondary colors are the colors you get when you mix two different primary colors together. These are green, orange, and purple. Nice work, Grade 1!! :0)Ms Angie

Angie AndreasWith a career spanning 25 years, I have worked alongside children from infancy to 9th grade in a generalist classroom setting. To my delight and surprise, an opportunity arose for me to become an art teacher in 2015. My first year was a learning experience and I expect that will be the case with all the years to follow.
