Hiya, Prep! Leading up to your Arts Celebration, you focused on ENVIRONMENTS. We thought about environments in so many ways. We thought about settings in stories, the classroom, the visual arts room, the playground, animal habitats, and homes. What do we do in these places? How are they different from one another? How are they the same? To discover more about environments, we decided to explore and create artworks that enhance environments or provide a setting. In your classrooms we created beautiful trees set aside to give children a place to go and feel calm. We made decorations that waved in the wind behind the band at our Arts Celebration, and are now making a puppet theater! Such great learning and passionate commitment…fantastic! :0)Ms Angie

Angie AndreasWith a career spanning 25 years, I have worked alongside children from infancy to 9th grade in a generalist classroom setting. To my delight and surprise, an opportunity arose for me to become an art teacher in 2015. My first year was a learning experience and I expect that will be the case with all the years to follow.
