BLOG EXHIBITION DATE 2018
Dear Grade 3,
Welcome to the new year! We have had an exciting start as we explored structures and their purposes. Seeing architects as Visual Artists was a new perspective for many of you. Visual artists are planners, drafters and creators. They show their expertise in many areas. From designing buildings, to knitting sweaters, to hand-building pottery, Visual Artists follow a process and create using the elements of art--line, color, shape, texture, space and form. Certainly, architects are no different! As we continued our learning, you discovered certain attributes were required for different structures. For example, a sky tower needed to be tall and to have glass all around it. Cinemas needed seats and parking areas. Museums needed wall space and hotels needed rooms with sinks and toilets. Check out the art here! Great thinking, Grade 3! :0)Ms Angie

Angie AndreasWith a career spanning 25 years, I have worked alongside children from infancy to 9th grade in a generalist classroom setting. To my delight and surprise, an opportunity arose for me to become an art teacher in 2015. My first year was a learning experience and I expect that will be the case with all the years to follow.
